This is a quick rundown of some of the most frequently asked questions we get:

Q - 1 GB/s vs 10 GB/s - Why It Doesn't Matter For Sneaker Bots
Many people come to us and request a 10 GB/s network line to be used on their VPS because they believe that 10 GB/s is faster than 1 GB/s.

We’re going to explain why this is just a marketing ploy and a scam from companies that are trying to tell you otherwise.

Here’s the deal…

A 1 GB/s line is equal to ~333TB of data downloaded per month.

That is equal to:

  • 10.8 TB/day
  • 450 GB/hr
  • 7.5 GB/min
  • 125 MB/s

An average web page that is loaded with sneaker software (and not a browser) has 0.1 mb to 0.2 mb of data to be downloaded.

The reason it differs with a browser is because you are downloading pictures, images, javascript, etc - stuff that bots do not download or care about.

You can test this in a console by using “wget” command (ex: wget https://blazingseollc.com/).

That being said, with a 1 GB/s network line you can open a web page 1250 times every second!

Remember, the network line is “1 gigabyte of data that can be downloaded in 1 second”, and a 10 Gbps line would be “10 gigabytes of data that can be downloaded in 1 second”. Unless you are actually using all of that network line (1250 open connections every 1 second), then you are downloading the websites at the same speed on either network line.

Ask yourself this
Can your software even allow you to run 1250 threads, let alone 1250 threads every second? The answer is absolutely not, unless you are on a very powerful dedicated server that will cost you hundreds of dollars a month (especially not on a VPS).

This means bandwidth isn’t important at all in terms of speed.

So what is you ask?

Proxies

Here’s how…

VPS > PROXY > WEBSITE > PROXY > VPS

When you connect to a website via a proxy, your request needs to go from your VPS to the proxy, and then from the proxy to the website, and then BACK.

If you’re not using a provider that hosts his proxies and VPS’s with the same ISP and same datacenter, you’re adding additional latency between your requests.

In other words, it’s slower.

Q: How Can I Test My Speeds?

Without a doubt, SpeedTest.net is the most used speed test checker out there.

However, what people don’t realize is that they are actually not the best.

How it Works

Since the IP addresses that are allocated to the dedicated servers that we run your VPS machine’s on are located in Buffalo, but the actual server is hosted in another datacenter (for example, our Dallas datacenter location), Speedtest.net doesn’t have smart enough technology to realize that the server is in our Dallas datacenter, so they do a speed test from our Buffalo location.

That’s a very long distance, and it explains why you see bad speed test results if you have a VPS in our Dallas location (refer to this article).

The Problems

  • To see 1 GB/s on speedtest.net you would need 100% empty and unused 1 GB/s line on your server side, and 100% empty and unused 1 GB/s line on speedtest.net side. It won’t ever happen - think about how many users do speedtests at the same time when you make your speed test. Each user consumes some bandwidth while testing and that’s why speedtest.net servers (and all similar sites) are not able to show the full line speed.
  • Because of other users doing Internet speed tests at the same time as you are, the results may vary. Right now speedtest.net server can be overloaded and show only 100mbps, and a few seconds later you can get 900mbps.

What Can You Do?

Just do a Google search for “online download speed test” and try any number of sites.

We like TestMy.net as this has been reliable showing 700+ Mbps speeds for us during off-peak hours, when their servers aren’t being totally bombarded.

If you see just ONE site that has 700+ Mbps speeds (and you will), then you know that the problem is not with our server’s speeds, but rather with the test servers you are running the speed tests on.

Q: How Can I Make Sure I'm on a 1 GB/s Line?

For starters, we can 100% assure you that our servers are on 1 GB/s, PREMIUM, dedicated network lines.

We test our network speed every 30 minutes to ensure you will have a blazing fast connection and enough bandwidth for your needs, so you can rest assured that the problem does not lie on our side.

Here’s how you can make sure for yourself, though…

Download our test file (https://192.210.198.234/1GB.zip) from our unused dedicated server or test it at https://testmy.net/download.

This should give you 500-600mbps in task manager.

If you perform a few downloads at the same time (2-3) you will see 800-900 mbps in task manager and that proves our Internet connection quality.
